Grabbed from the Newsgroup
Forum Tips.
Both LawnElf and Gitte have more forum experience than I do, but here
is the general forum idea.
Navigating to the proper forum
1: Start at the home page, click the purple button, ‘Enter forum’.
2: Click on ‘Discussion for a specific week just testing’.
Topics
3: A list of topics appears. This list would be equatable to the list
of subect headers in your news reader.
A: If you wished to make a new Thread(Topic). You would click
‘Add Topic’. A page will open where you can enter your Title and text.
After you save the message it will appear as a new header(Topic).
4: As the week passes, the number of these topics will increase. The
little arrow will scroll thru them.
Messages
5: Mosts posts, like in the newsgroup, are RE:’s to subject
headers(Topics). I expect it will be much the same here.
6: Click on a Topic and you will see the textual Replies(RE’s) to that
particular topic.
A: All replys, from all responders to this paricular topic, are
displayed according to when they were posted.
Responding to a message
7: When you see a topic and you wish to comment.
A: Click the topic.
B: The existing comments appear.
C: Click ‘Post Reply’.
D: A page for typing in yoour text opens.
E: Enter you message
F: Do the Math. Its a security thing.
G: Click Save Post.
H. You are returned to the messages.
Note: You will see a string of options labeled, in this case,
‘Home Forums Discussion for a specific week just testing’ and etc
depending on your current forum location.
Use these options for Forum navigation.
I have a tendency to want to use my browsers back and forward buttons.
It doesn’t work out very well.
